We try to be an active member of the open source community, one project in particular that we have found exciting in recent times is Apache Wicket. Wicket is a Java web framework that finally delivers on the promise of separation between markup and code, and works in a stateful, component oriented fashion where all code is plain Java-code.
As a consequence of our work with Wicket for our clients, we have distilled the lessons of our work into a framework:
Wicket RAD - a framework built on top of Wicket and JPA (Java Persistence API, inspired by Hibernate). Wicket RAD provides functionality to generate forms and other views from metadata such as annotated Java bean-objects or database tables. Wicket RAD also provides functionality to automatically perform Create, Read, Update and Delete actions on said generated views.
